Welcome to Rushmere Dobermanns!

We are located in Melbourne Australia within the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula.

We have been owned by Dobermanns for only a short period of time. We purchased our first ever Dobermann Kaiela Hot Design or 'Kira' as she is known to family and friends, from the well known kennel, Kaiela Dobermanns. Kira, born on the 11th of December 2001, first came to our home as a companion but we then decided to give conformation showing a 'GO'. We then got our second girl Fireax Vision In Vogue or better known as 'Meika' from the successful Fireax Dobermanns Kennels. The home to some of Australia's top winning Dobes. Meika was born on 16 May 2002. Both Kira and Meika's have come to share our lives first and foremost as companions to our family. They have introduced us to the world of dog shows. Kira & Meika have both retired from the show rings.

Our girls have taught us a great deal about unconditional love, loyalty and being grounded. They have also furthered our knowledge on canine behaviour, psychology and general 'dos' and 'donts' when dealing with canines.

Sadly Meika left us too early in 2005. Rest in peace our beautiful angel!

Dog shows can be very addictive and enjoyable. This has lead us to sharing our home with another special girl. This special girl isAustralian Champion Fireax Striking Image or better known as Image. Image is sired by the handsome 'Australian Grand Champion Alldobe Strike It Lucky ET'' and out of the beautiful 'Australian Champion Fireax Showme An Image CD ET'. Image is our current top winning show bitch. Image attained her Australian Champion title at just 16 months of age at the competitive Melbourne metropolitan shows under notable local, interstate & international judges.; Image continues to wow Judges at 4 & a half years of age.

Image is a Runner Up Best In Group, Multi Melbourne Royal Challenge and Runner up Best of Breed Winner (2005 & 2006)!

STOP PRESS!! Image's wonderful conformation has ensured that she was awarded Number 2 Dobermann Bitch in Australia by breed specialist Mrs Diane Butler of Telstar Dobermanns (UK) at the 2007 Australian National Dobermann Show held right here in Melbourne!!

Our stallion male Australian Champion Fireax Fancy A Bit aka 'Judge' is also a, Best In Specialty Runner Up, Specialty Challenge and reserve Challenge, Multi Best in Group, Class in Group, Class in Specialty & All Breeds Show winner. Judge continues to wow FCI, International as well as Australian Judges! Judge is a very competitive male who ouses bone & substance lacking in many males these days. These wonderful qualities enabled Judge to title in style with a 25 point Best of Breed under International Dr Eugenio Aquilo from Chile at the 2008 SACA Autumn International Show with a breed entry of 58 Dobermanns!!! All this achieved at less than 2 & a half years of age with VERY limited shows!!

Our dogs enjoy running around our 3 acre property, playing chasie and swimming in the local dams and beaches. In winter they enjoy sleeping in front of the fireplace.
